Welcome to A wildlife photography experience in Northern Sweden.

Our primary service centers on providing unparalleled opportunities to photograph the Golden Eagle during the winter season. 
This adventure takes place from strategically located hides near the White Mountains nature reserve a stunning environment featuring mires, old-growth forest, and mountains in the background.
  • Primary Target

Golden Eagle. The focus of this activity is to maximize your shots of this majestic species.

  • Season

October to mid-April. December to the beginning of April is the guaranteed period for snow, providing a spectacular white backdrop.

  • Secondary Species

Species like Goshawk, Red Fox, and smaller birds such as Bullfinch, Grey-headed Woodpecker, and tits are also frequent visitors.

  • Night Photography

Opportunities to photograph starry skies and a chance to capture the Northern Lights in the evenings.

We operate two main hides, the Timber Hide and a new Larger Hide. both designed to ensure comfort and photographic success.

Hide Specifications

  • Both hides fit up to 4 photographers

  • Heating:
    Log burner heater in the Timber Hide and gas heater in the new Large Hide

  • 4G internet access available in both hides.

  • Toilet

    There is a 350-meter walk from the car to the hide. Entry is before sunrise to minimize disturbance.

Recommended Photography Gear

  • Telephoto Lenses: Having two telephoto lenses is best due to multiple photo holes.

    • Close-ups: An ideal range is 200-400mm.

    • Longer Distance/Landscape: Range between 400-600mm.

  • Support: Bean bags are available, and you can attach your gimbal head.

  • Night/Landscape: A tripod and wide-angle lens (15-24mm) are essential for stars and the Northern Lights.

Logistics and Conduct Guidelines

  • Hide Conduct: Lenses stick out; therefore, it is very important to move extremely slowly to prevent spooking the eagles. Wildlife in the area is not used to people, so caution must be taken.

  • Temperature: Temperatures inside the hides are usually between +5°C and +15°C, depending on the outside temperature.

  • Clothing: Please wear appropriate clothing and bring a head torch for the pre-dawn entry.

  • Arrival Day: Settle in, dinner, review hide schedule

  • Photo Day: Wake up 2 hours before sunrise, breakfast, drive to hide (15 min), walk to hide (10 min), enter hide before sunrise.

  • Midday: Photography until early afternoon (when it gets too dark)

  • Evening: Return to house, download and review photos, dinner.

  • Departure Day: Breakfast, drive to the airport.
